Autumnia 2026 in Figline Valdarno: Dates, Events & Where to Stay

Autumnia is Figline Valdarno’s annual event dedicated to agriculture, the environment and food. Its 27th edition is held in the town’s historic centre in 2026.

Previous editions have spread themed areas across Figline’s streets and squares, covering food and wine, farming and livestock, environment, health, sport, civil protection, local associations and culture. This describes the established format and helps international travellers understand the event, but it is not the confirmed 2026 programme.

Autumnia offers a window onto everyday life, producers and institutions in the Valdarno. It can suit travellers searching for a Tuscany food festival or autumn event, although it should not be presented as only a food festival.

The exact Autumnia 2026 activities will be known when the official programme is released. The event website consistently presents Autumnia through its three core areas: agriculture, environment and food.

For context only, the official 2025 material documented food and wine, cooking shows, farm animals and livestock, health and wellbeing, sport and fitness, environmental projects, civil protection, associations, schools and culture. These examples explain the scale of the event but are not confirmed for 2026.

Choose activities only after the new programme appears, as different zones may follow different opening times.

Autumnia traditionally welcomes families, but children’s activities for 2026 still require confirmation. The official 2025 information included workshops, farm animals, educational activities, sport and projects involving Civil Protection, associations and schools.

For 2026, check the recommended ages, time, location and booking requirements for each activity. The historic centre can be crowded and affected by diversions: agree on a meeting point, bring clothing suitable for November and do not assume that every activity from the previous year will return.

Food and local produce form one of Autumnia’s three central themes. Previous editions have highlighted olive oil, wine, honey, cured meats, pulses and other farm products, alongside food stands and talks.

The 2026 exhibitors and menus are not yet published. Do not plan a specific purchase or meal from an old list; once the official map is available, check product origins, allergens, dietary options and each stand’s opening times. By train from Florence

The nearest station is Figline Valdarno, served by regional trains from Firenze Santa Maria Novella. The official event website indicates a walk of about 350 metres from the station to the event area via Via Vittorio Locchi. Check Trenitalia for the exact timetable and any changes on your travel date.

By car

From the north, use the A1 Incisa–Reggello exit and continue south; from the south, the A1 Valdarno exit provides the approach from that direction. Autumnia can bring closures and diversions in the centre, so do not set Piazza Marsilio Ficino as your parking destination. Follow the current signs and the 2026 traffic plan.

From the station to the centre

The route is short, but accessibility, works and temporary diversions should be checked once the 2026 map is available.

Perla Toscana is also located in Figline Valdarno, outside the historic centre. The verified driving distance to Piazza Marsilio Ficino is approximately 4.1 km / 8 minutes in normal traffic. During Autumnia, traffic restrictions and road closures may change travel times and access.

The holiday home accommodates up to 8 guests and has 3 bedrooms, an equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and free private parking for up to 3 cars. It may suit families, groups of friends, exhibitors, event staff or colleagues attending together.

Perla Toscana is not described as being within walking distance of Autumnia. Before booking, decide how you will reach the centre during the event and check the official traffic plan.

You can explore Figline Valdarno’s historic centre between event activities. Piazza Marsilio Ficino is the urban heart; nearby sights include the Collegiata di Santa Maria, Palazzo Pretorio, San Francesco church and Teatro Garibaldi.

Travellers staying for several days can combine Autumnia with a separate day in Chianti. November is associated with new-season olive oil and quieter landscapes, while daylight is shorter and weather can change.

Do not add a complete Chianti circuit to a day already dedicated to Autumnia. Choose another day for villages, vineyards and scenic roads.
